My approach to social media:

engaging - relevant value (entertaining and informative) to the consumer

share-worthy - drives organic engagement (reshares, comments, views)

simple - memorable messaging that is clear and succinct

Alaska Airlines: “New International route announcement”

To pique curiosity about two new international routes, I pitched a “constellation” showing the routes without a map. This got fans speculating and drove high engagement.

Alaska Airlines: “35 Years in Mexico”

To celebrate 35 years of flights to Mexico, I thought a popular meme was the perfect way to share how far the relationship has come. We saw exceptional view counts despite being an organic post.

Alaska Airlines: “Julio Rodriguez”

When we partnered with the MLB Rookie of the Year, the campaign had to strike the right chord with hometown fans. We showed our baseball savvy and shared desire to excel in our “field.”

ALEXA: “Wakanda Forever”

With all the excitement around the film, we wanted Alexa to participate. I noticed the emphasis on Wakandan technology, which seemed like the perfect inroad. This particular post drove high engagement and positive comments from followers.

ALEXA: “Tom Brady’s Retirement

When Tom Brady decided to come out of his brief retirement, it was an opportunity for Alexa to show it’s savviness (and utility.) The tweet drove exceptionally high reshares and comments due to its humorous take and unique POV.

ALEXA: “Taylor Swift Countdown”

The anticipation for Taylor Swift’s long-awaited album (‘Midnights’) was driving social conversation. So I conceived a daily on-device countdown for fans, using the same reveal method as Swift had used on TikTok (a hopper of ping-pong balls.) This excited fans and drove speculation that Alexa had inside information.

ALEXA: “Voice Tweets”

A lesser-known function on Twitter became a very effective engagement-driver for our posts. It also fit perfectly with our brand: a voice-activated virtual assistant. These were so successful, Twitter based a use-case study on our application of the tool.

ALEXA: “Origin Story”

By connecting Alexa persona traits (science, space) and known follower interests (superheroes, sci-fi), this tweet gave Alexa a unique insight into the trending news story. The result was a highly-engaged and positive reaction.

ALEXA: “BTS White House Visit”

When the popular K-Pop group, BTS, visited the White House, we engaged their highly-active fanbase by noting Alexa’s admiration for their cause (reducing anti-Asian violence.) The result was a high-performing post and a genuine opportunity to display Alexa’s values.
